Established in 2021 to complement the core truck-focused business, Britcom Developments aims to pursue opportunities in the commercial property sector.
The sale of Britcom owned land neighbouring our existing site in 2019 to a major agricultural machinery manufacturer, led to the creation of a new dealership depot and demonstrated the strength of demand for well situated commercial property in the East Yorkshire area.
Encouraged by this, Britcom Developments purchased the 6 acre greenfield site situated on the other side of our HQ in Market Weighton, in early 2021. Our partners, Priority Space, have in January 2022 submitted a planning application to East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the development of a multi-let industrial estate, comprising of 26 units and 96,550 sq ft of space which would bring significant employment opportunities to the town.
Planning permission was granted for the development at the end of June 2022 and Priority Space will be going out to construction tender in September with a view to starting on site in early 2023 and completing spring 2024.
As we expand this side of the business, we are interested in discussing any commercial land/development or lease income opportunities, especially in Hull & East Yorkshire, North & North East Lincolnshire, A19 corridor.

Encouraged by this, Britcom Developments purchased the 6 acre greenfield site situated on the other side of our HQ in Market Weighton, in early 2021. We are now working closely with a joint venture partner to guide this site through the planning and construction process in order to develop a multi-tenant industrial unit park on the site, offering the most modern commercial premises in the local area for sale or let. Further details on this will be advised in due course.
